Counsellors

Pauline
As a counsellor, my favourite phrase is. “ You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” (Jon Kabat-Zinn). It means that there will always be problems, but we can learn to navigate them if we have help. I think my main role is to help children and young people by providing a safe space for them to talk confidentially and to be listened to, without judgement.
When I’m not working, I like to relax by walking my cockapoo in the lovely countryside around me, practising yoga, playing badminton (pretty badly), watching movies or losing myself in a good book.

Liz
In my spare time I follow the premier league with interest and socialise with friends and family.
I try to live my life in the here and now and would like others to be able to experience life without constant inner turmoil.

Natalia
I have a BSc (hons) in Psychology which I graduated from in 2020. I have also completed a MSC Counselling Children and Young People and I am currently studying for a PhD in the same field.
For me, working with young people is so important and is something I have always wanted to do since having accessed mental health services as a young person myself. I see lots of value in this work and absolutely love what I do.
As a self-confessed home-body, when I am not studying or working I can be often found curled up at home watching a good series with my cat.
